DPM Lee Hsien Loong Lunch Series

The office of DPM Lee Hsien Loong initiated a regular networking lunch series for the DPM to meet with business leaders from various industry sectors. The event served as a platform for participants to provide feedback and ideas for the economic development of Singapore. Majulah Connection supported the event by nominating business leaders to participate in the lunch series.

Conversation Series with Prominent Business Leaders

Majulah Connection and the Economic Development Board (EDB) Society have co-organised a series of lunch and dinner networking events featuring conversations with prominent business and government leaders. The Series aims to provide a networking platform for dynamic exchange of ideas. Each closed-door session engages a group of invited participants (about 20) in a vigorous, no-holds-barred conversation on topics of their choice. The sessions do not follow the standard question-and-answer format, but encourages spontaneous debate of ideas and viewpoints.

June 30, 2003: Conversation series with Mr Oei Hong Leong, Chairman of Chip Lian Investments (HK) Ltd. As the special guest. Mr. Oei provided the series with an excellent start with his characteristic high octane performance and sharp observations of business and political developments in the region.

November 10, 2003: Dinner Conversation with Mr Koh Boon Hwee, Executive Director of MediaRing; Tech Group Singapore Ind Pte Ltd; Chairman of Singapore Airlines. He spoke of the rise of China and how it is able to rapidly adapt and transform its society to stay abreast of the changing global environment.
