To further network the Japanese community in Singapore, a golf game was successfully organised with Dr Richard Hu and Japan Ambassador Mr Takaaki Kojima at the Singapore Island Country Club's new course. The game was followed by a dinner hosted by Ambassador Kojima at his residence in the evening. The golfers included Mr Ngiam Tong Dow (Chairman, HDB Corporation), Mr Jeffery Tan (President, Motorola Singapore), Mr Gan Siang Kiong (President, The Japanese Cultural Society, Singapore), Mr. Masao Tetsuya, (JCCI President and CEO - Sumitomo Corporation), Mr. Hiroyuki Izumi (CEO, Mitsubishi Chemical), Mr. Naokazu Tomimoto (CEO - Mitsubishi Electric Asia) and Mr. Yoshiharu Nakamura (CEO, Obayashi Corporation). Invited guests at the Ambassador's residence also includes Mr Teo Ming Kian (Chairman, Economic Development Board), Mr Lee Kwok Cheong (CEO, National Computer Systems), Mr. Hidehisa Saito (CEO - Marubeni Corporation), Mr Kiyohiko Niwa (CEO - Sony Electrics Asia Pacific) and Minister Kenichi Suganuma (Japanese Embassy).
