| Overseas Singaporeans met Dr. Tony Tan, Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister at a reception in New York when he was there to mark the official formation of the Singapore-US Business Council (SUBC).
The networking event provided the participants, a group of overseas Singaporeans and Friends of Singapore, a venue to discuss some of the recent developments in Singapore, such as USSFTA and the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) among others.
